From the Apps tab of your website dashboard. OpenClaw is listed there as an installable application alongside WordPress and the rest. Pick the subdomain it should live on and install it. The runtime, the service and the SSL are set up for you, so there is nothing to download and no terminal to open.
Which plan do I need?
OpenClaw is in the Apps tab on every cloud hosting plan, so any of them will run it. Startup is plenty for one person on a couple of channels. Business is where we would start if it is working all day, because of the extra storage its memory store and logs will use.
Does it cost extra?
No. OpenClaw is open source and the install is part of your hosting plan. The only thing you pay for separately is your own AI provider account, because you connect your own key.
How do my API keys work?
You add them in the OpenClaw toolkit after install. It takes your Claude or GPT provider key, rotates tokens on a schedule and configures which devices are allowed to talk to your agent, all from the dashboard rather than a config file.
Which apps can I message it from?
WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Signal, iMessage, Microsoft Teams and Google Chat out of the box, with Matrix, Zalo and others available as plugins. It is one instance with one memory, so you can start a conversation on your phone and pick it up in Slack.

Would I ever want a VPS instead?
